Hebrew Roots Assembly (HRA) is a body of believers who are in truth and in spirit part of the body of the Messiah -Yeshua.

We hold with unalloyed humility the great commission from Yeshua – to “go into the world and preach the gospel of the kingdom” as Yeshua preached (Mark 16:15, Luke 4:43).

We strive to read the words of the Father (the scriptures) not from the lens of any religion, sect or organisation. We believe sincerely that when Yehovah called our patriarch Abram (later Abraham), he called man to leave every form of idolatry and man-made system of worship – as was rife in those days – to follow Him. It was to all who will eventually join themselves to the nation of Israel that He called. Our duty is to heed this call today. (Deuteronomy 29:14, Ephesians 2:12)

First, we dedicate ourselves and lives in being the gospel that people see – by the way we live. Our living is informed by obedience to the instructions given by Yehovah in his living oracles – the scripture which Stephen noted was given on that great and awesome day at Sinai (Acts 7:38). It was this same scriptures that Shaul (aka Paul) was referring to when he told Timothy they were able to make him (Timothy) wise unto salvation (2Timothy 3:15).

We realise we could never pay back Yehovah for His love. This He demonstrated by first putting in place a plan to save mankind. Then activating the plan by sending His only begotten son to die for us while we were still sinners. His son Yeshua came in the flesh, lived a sinless life, leaving us a perfect example (1 Peter 2:21), died, resurrected and gave us hope of resurrection. Most importantly he left us a great and unmistakable example to follow: the example of his own life. Leading a sinless life in total oneness and obedience to his Father’s instructions. Little wonder brother Shaul (aka Paul) in his letters to the believers in Corinth admonished “imitate me as you see me imitating messiah Yeshua” – 1 Corinthians 11:1

We hold the testimony of ApostleYochanan (aka John) to be trustworthy and true when he wrote “forYehovah so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16.We desire to live eternally with Yehovah and his son Yeshua, in a world that knows a peace that passeth all human understanding. We know that the Father loves us and wants us to enjoy this absolute beauty with Him. The bible records that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered the heart of man what Yehovah is preparing for those who love Him.

We hold to be trustworthy and true Yehovah’s definition of love for Him in Exodus 20:6 “showing mercy on thousands who love me and keep my commandments”. And Yeshua being one with his father echoed the same thing “if you love me, keep my commandments” John 14:15

While we did nothing to attract Yehovah’s ultimate demonstration of love, the Bible teaches that we must do something to attract His mercy. Obeying Yehovah’s commandment is a demonstration of our love for Him and he,in turn shows us His mercy – HalleluYah. David noted that the commandments of Yehovah are sweeter than honey and purer than gold. Psalm 19:10

With all the beautiful things that man has created through science in this life, we look forward and hold through the word in the scripture that “eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, what Yehovah has prepared for those who love Him – 1 Corinthians 2:9 and Isaiah 64:4

We are earnestly waiting for the return of the Messiah. While we wait for this blessed assurance, we continue to love Yehovah by following Yeshua’s example to obey Him.

We encourage you to join us as we are sure you will have an experience like David and Yehovah’s commandments will give you so much substance it will be sweeter than honey and purer than gold for you too.

Shalom
